Save $70 on the M1-powered iPad Air with 256GB of storage

It’s officially Memorial Day weekend. It’s time to fire up the grill, toss a few drinks in the cooler, and saddle up for some bargains. We have been covering Memorial Day sales and discounts all weekand we have new ones for your Saturday.

First of all, Apple’s latest iPad Air with 256GB expanded storage is down to $679 at Amazon. This $70 discount is the best price in over a month for this configuration. If you don’t think you need the extra storage, the 64GB model is $569.99 (about $30 off) at Amazon and walmart. Although the 256GB means you won’t run out of space too quickly.

This latest generation of iPad Air looks a lot like the previous 2020 model, but its performance has been dramatically improved by borrowing the same M1 processor from the iPad Pro models and entry-level MacBooks. The Air is fast, has great battery life, and its 10.9-inch display looks great. Although it shares the same processor as the more expensive iPad Pro, it uses Touch ID built into its side button instead of Face ID and lacks ProMotion for smoother scrolling. However, this discount further separates the 256GB Air from the base 128GB iPad Pro that normally costs $799, making it the best value for most people. Read our review.

iPad Air 2022 (Wi-Fi)

The latest iPad Air retains the iPad Pro-esque redesign of the 2020 model but drops the A14 Bionic processor in favor of Apple’s super-fast M1 chip. It’s also available in one of five colors and has a 12MP front-facing camera with support for Apple’s Center Stage feature.

Miraculously, if you want to buy an Xbox Series X console right now, you have several options. You can get one at Costco or directly from Microsoftor if you’re lucky, there might be one at your local Best Buy – but these are not offers. The deal du jour in the Xbox family right now is that Antonline is giving away a free extra controller of your choice with the purchase of an Xbox Series S for $299.99. That’s the normal retail price for the small console, plus you get an additional gamepad worth up to $69.99 for free.

The Xbox Series S is a great little console if you don’t mind a digital-only box that maxes out at 2560 x 1440 QHD resolution. is perfect for Xbox Game Pass and game streaming. In addition, with this offer you can choose from black, white, red, blueand yellowish green controllers – even the 20th Anniversary Special Edition Translucent Smoked Black (which is the right choice, by the way). This offer is valid until June 7 or while supplies last. Read our review.

Xbox Series S with free additional controller

The Xbox Series S is smaller than the 4K-capable Xbox Series X, but it can still tackle the same digital games, but at 2560 x 1440 QHD resolution. Antonline’s offering of the console with an additional controller free saves $59.99 to $69.99 depending on controller chosen.

If you don’t want to wait until July to Google’s next Pixel 6A and you are a T-Mobile or Sprint customer, you can get the Pixel 6 Where Pixel 6 Pro for $150 off at Best Buy with activation. This agreement lowers the price of Pixel 6 at $459.99 – the same as the more budget-conscious 6A – and the Pixel 6 Pro is now $749.99. Both offers require activation on T-Mobile or Sprint, but you choose to pay for them upfront or in monthly installments.

While the Pixel 6 siblings have had troubled waters with software updatesthey still have some of the best cameras in a smartphone – and arguably some of the best Android phones around. The Pixel 6A will borrow the Google Tensor processor when released this summer, but the improved cameras are stay exclusive to premium pixels. Read our review.

Google Pixel 6

The Google Pixel 6 is the new base model of Google’s latest flagship. It features the Google Tensor processor, 8GB of RAM, and a rear camera with both 50MP for its primary wide-angle and 12MP for its ultrawide.

Google Pixel 6 Pro

The Google Pixel 6 Pro is the big brother of the all-new Pixel duo, sporting a 6.7-inch screen, 12GB of RAM and a third camera with a 4x telephoto lens and 48-megapixel resolution.

The Lenovo Chromebook Duo retained its status as one of our favorite budget Chromebooks, although in late 2021 a newer model was released with a higher price tag which led to compromises. This new model is the Chromebook Duo 5, which got a little more sophisticated with a 13.3-inch OLED touchscreen and a new price tag of around $500. The screen is great, the keyboard attachment is again very good and the battery life is long. But it’s a bit of a different game when it’s $200 more than its predecessor.

Now you can get the Lenovo Chromebook Duet 5 for a much more respectable price of $379 at BestBuy. That $120 discount for the model with 8GB RAM and 128GB SSD makes it much easier to overlook some of its flaws, like the lack of biometric authentication and the lack of an included pen. Money saved always makes things better, doesn’t it? Read our review.
